Travelling the Westbranch.
North of Webbwood, Ontario on a Northerly path, a logging road winds its way along Wakanassin River. The composition I am presenting for viewing is located along this river. The evening is getting late. The exposed rocks on the hillside are touched by the evening sunlight,
I have stopped here many times to photograph as I drove home from further up the road.
A magical land
When Mother Nature is at her best
She can create art that is a delight to see
She can expand your imagination
Just sit there and absorb
Then it is gone
A trip taken a first week October in Lake Superior Provincial Park.
The weather was on the cool side.
We traversed two portages to enter Treeby Lake.
With the campsite set up it was a matter of waiting
On our second morning I hit gold. The lighting was excellent
There was no wind, Therefore the lake was calm
I captured some amazing photos
One of the interesting aspects of photographing the shoreline of Lake Superior are the rock formations. These rocks date back to the volcanic era of Earth. The effects of water and wind has created many interesting shapes.
The joy of being streamside
The music of running water
The sunlight filtering through
The cedar trees
A fallen cedar tree beckons
A place of peace and solitude
Paradise Lagoon. A world of its own
The sound of running water
Pristine and turquoise
Beautiful colored rocks
Surrounded by Cedar and Pine trees
I made a number of trips here.
To capture the beauty to be found here
Hoping for the right lighting
To create the right compositions
Killarney Provincial Park.
George Lake, West end
Pick up the trail at the west end of George Lake
Cross the bridge and hike.
When you can see the lake on your right
Head towards the shore.
You will then see a rock structure on the left.
A beautiful spot to photograph in the waning light of evening
The morning mist in rolling
The morning sun arriving
The rocky shoreline ghostly
Full of color in the low light
The lichen showing bright
The mornings cool lighting
Mother nature’s palette of colors
Of an artist’s earth tones
This composition was created one morning at the lighthouse near Killarney on Georgian Bay
A beautiful evening on the shores of Lake Superior near Wawa
I traversed Sandy Beach near Wawa one evening.
This was an area that A Y Jackson created some of his paintings
I have added this composition to My Fine Arts page.
It is now available to the public

One of the many island to be found along the lake superior shores.
Captured on an evening with a storm brewing.
