#LakeMinniwanka Lake. In the background is #MountGirouard. All of this is located in #BanffNationalPark in the #RockyMountains. We spent the night at the #TheElkandAvenueHotel. Highly recommended.

My brother Bob and I spent the night in the town of Banff. We booked into the The Elk and Avenue Hotel. The next morning we drove up to the scenic Lake Minniwanka. It was a cloudy dark day. I made the most of the conditions. I was able to get many shots working with the the patterns of nature

When I First Saw You

Roses10_1404

When I First Saw You

When I first saw you

That smile

Just broke my heart

It was off the chart

You called my name

You gave me your heart

I gave you my soul

You are my sweetheart

Yes my darling

You are my love

We are forever and more

Sealed with a kiss

A kiss of love

Yes darling

You are my love

My forever love

You prayed for me

To be delivered to you

You waited four years long

Then I came along

You can rest your fears

Wash away your tears

You are in my arms

You will come to no harm

Yes darling

You are my love

My forever love

You need not pretend

Not pretend, anymore

I am holding you

Our hearts will blend

You will never walk alone

So baby, don’t cry

Just look up at the sky

Then say thank you

When I first saw you

That smile

Just broke my heart

It was off the chart

You will never walk alone

So baby, don’t cry

Just look up at the sky

Then say thank you

Mica Bay, Lake Superior

MicaBay5

Mica Bay, Lake Superior. This was one of my enjoyable evenings spent exploring the shoreline of Mica Bay, Lake Superior.

The evening was becoming late as I observed this scene. The lake was rolling gently. The exposure would be long. That would create a dreamy affect on the water. More so in the foreground. I cast around for a suitable collection of rocks at the water’s edge. The composition soon came together in my mind. I set my tripod as low as I could set it. Therefore, allowing me to create an illusion of less water. To tighten the composition I shot vertically. Too much water would spoil the effect of the composition.

I stretched out on the beach. Being eye level showed me my composition as I wanted it. Thus I was able to create my scene.

I’m Coming Home

_MG_6022

I’m Coming Home

Hey baby, It’s just me

Yeah baby, I’m coming home

I’m coming home

Got my suitcase packed

The time has been long

I will just be along

On the next flight out

Leaving Toronto

I got the next flight out

I’m leaving the blues behind

I am going to bring

All my loving

I’m soaring above the clouds

Leaving them blues behind

Just you on my mind

Just you on my mind

I am flying to Managua

Looking for your love

To take your hand

To take your hand

Just to say, I love you

Just to say, I love you

Just to look above

Thankful for your love

Then walk you home

Like I wrote, in the poem

Oh yeah, just you and me

Falling in love again

Falling in love again…

Falling in love again….

Hey baby, It’s just me

Yeah baby, I’m coming home

I’m coming home

Got my suitcase packed

ON Duty

Jinotaga_0495

I was walking in a new neighborhood in Jinotega, that I had not been before. The lighting was good during a late afternoon. Rain was threatening. A rather large dog appeared on my left across the street.

The dog appeared quite suddenly, poking its head through a narrow opening in the metal door. There was a lot of vertical lines in the scene. Therefore I created a vertical composition.
