Join Me And The Lord

Join Me And The Lord

The day has been long

But I made a song

Just walk a little closer

Join me and the Lord

The shadows upon the walls

The church bells are ringing

You can hear him calling

Join me and the Lord

Just walk a little closer

Join me and the Lord

Hallelujah,Hallelujah

Just walk a little closer

To me, my darling

I’ll sing you my song

As we walk along

Just walk a little closer

Join me and the Lord

Hallelujah,Hallelujah

The church bells are ringing

You can hear him calling

Just walk a little closer

Join me and the Lord

Gory Hallelujah,Hallelujah

Hallelujah,Hallelujah

The day has been long

But I made a song

Just walk a little closer

Join me and the Lord

Gory Hallelujah,Hallelujah

Hallelujah,Hallelujah

When I First Saw You

Roses10_1404

When I First Saw You

When I first saw you

That smile

Just broke my heart

It was off the chart

You called my name

You gave me your heart

I gave you my soul

You are my sweetheart

Yes my darling

You are my love

We are forever and more

Sealed with a kiss

A kiss of love

Yes darling

You are my love

My forever love

You prayed for me

To be delivered to you

You waited four years long

Then I came along

You can rest your fears

Wash away your tears

You are in my arms

You will come to no harm

Yes darling

You are my love

My forever love

You need not pretend

Not pretend, anymore

I am holding you

Our hearts will blend

You will never walk alone

So baby, don’t cry

Just look up at the sky

Then say thank you

When I first saw you

That smile

Just broke my heart

It was off the chart

You will never walk alone

So baby, don’t cry

Just look up at the sky

Then say thank you

The info taken from Wikipedia

One day I had the opportunity to photograph this little baby waiting for a parent to feed it in my garden. I was able to set up the camera and tripod within five feet of my little subject. The hummingbirds are use to me being around them. I used my 200 mm lens.

The lighting was good. I was able to achieve a high shutter speed for good stop action. It was a delightful six hours of observing and capturing the hummingbird doing its thing

Hey, Come on Honey

Rose_0496

It’s Saturday night

The clock strikes eight

I got a pocket full of money

I’ll call my honey

Going down to the bar

It’s not too far

I got a pocket full of money

I am walking my honey

I’ll take her hand

Oh, I feel so grand

I can hear the music

I hear them blues

The band strikes up

It is the blues, so slow

Hey, come on babe

We dance, oh so close

We’ll sway our hips

We will touch our lips

We move our feet

I feel the heat

Oh, that feels so good

Just gives me the mood

That slow,slow blues

As the band plays on

Ah yeah, love you babe

You and the blues

That is the way

It should be

The clock strikes four

It is late, the hour

I will walk you home

Oh what a blues night

Hey. come on honey

It’s Saturday night

The clock strikes eight

I got a pocket full of money

I’ll call my honey

Going down to the bar

It’s not too far

I got a pocket full of money

I am walking my honey

Mica Bay, Lake Superior

MicaBay5

Mica Bay, Lake Superior. This was one of my enjoyable evenings spent exploring the shoreline of Mica Bay, Lake Superior.

The evening was becoming late as I observed this scene. The lake was rolling gently. The exposure would be long. That would create a dreamy affect on the water. More so in the foreground. I cast around for a suitable collection of rocks at the water’s edge. The composition soon came together in my mind. I set my tripod as low as I could set it. Therefore, allowing me to create an illusion of less water. To tighten the composition I shot vertically. Too much water would spoil the effect of the composition.

I stretched out on the beach. Being eye level showed me my composition as I wanted it. Thus I was able to create my scene.

Tomorrow Never Came

_MG_6022

Tomorrow Never Came

The time has past

My hair is silver now

Tomorrow never came

Our love has gone

My thoughts always turned to you

We never got to say I do

You were the shadow of my life

No matter where I went

But your memory will always

Will always,be cherished

But it is sad

What we really had

If only we knew

Just you and me

I still can’t believe it

After all these years

My hair is silver now

Tomorrow never came

So hello, wherever you are

My love was forever

You were always my lover

Through good and bad times

My thoughts always turned to you

We never got to say I do

You were the shadow of my life

No matter where I went

The time has past

My hair is silver now

Tomorrow never came

Our love was lost

My hair is silver now

Tomorrow never came

Our love has gone

A Quiet Spot

HighFalls_1696_HDR

I was photographing at High Falls, Levack late of an evening. I spotted this little nook at the rivers edge. Using the rocks for framing, the dark waters giving contrast. A hint of fast water above. A nice place to sit upon the rocks.

Late Fall

Hunting_0006

The Fall of each year brings out the muted earth colors of the vegetation in the north country. The spectacular display of the Maples and Oaks are mostly finished. The temperatures are getting colder. What is left?

The rich yellows and browns of various grasses growing in swampy areas. Black Spruce is common in wet areas. Therefore giving you green color in the low light of afternoon.  spectacular, no. Just a nice soft blend of color pleasing to the eye.

Tamarack

Hunting_0011

The fall colors of the maple and oak are almost gone now. Standing out in contrast with the green of the pines and spruce, the tamarack displays its beauty. The tamarack is also known as larch.

The Algonquian people named this tree tamarack. The meaning, wood used for snowshoes. Its habitat is low lying areas such as swamps, and bogs. The larch is deciduous and the needles turn yellow in autumn.

I photographed this scene in the late afternoon. Sunlight was filtering through the clouds. The side lighting intensified the yellow color of the tamarack. The backdrop of the green spruce helped to allow the tamarack to stand out in the photo.
