As I was crawling over rocks alone the Lake Superior shoreline one evening. I looked down ahead of me . There before me was an ancient lava flow like it was yesterday. Incredible.
I set up the camera equipment among the rocks. It was a quiet evening, The sun was on the horizon soon to disappear. Not before it went out in a blaze of glory. As I was photographing everything turned to red.

A trip back in time. I am going through my files looking for unpublished photos.
I spent a number of summers alone the great Lake Superior. A great learning experience. Geography, History, Geology and many other things.
This is a very early morning shot . The rugged rocky shoreline. A touch of color
I continued hiking and searching for photo opportunities outside of Cranbrook. I spotted this particular scene with added color. With the mountains in the background. Color on the ground for the foreground made for a pleasing scene.
Of interest was I noticed signs of Mule deer. There was an area where they bedded for the night. A pond was near by.
It is an interesting drive up the side of a mountain on a active logging road. Then it is a winding steep drive down the other side of the mountain to Lussier Hotsprings. The hotsprings are located in Whiteswan Provincial Park.
The Lussier River flows here. I walked down the trail to the river. I commence to capture the river with its Fall colors. It was a cloudy, cool day. As you will notice there is bits and pieces of Fall color here and there.

I was walking along the shore of Whiteswan Lake, I noticed water entering the lake.
I followed the stream up into the woods. The scene that you see here is what caught my eye. A little bit busy, but okay. There is enough color to enhance the composition
A chica and the rose. Chica is Spanish for girl.
I set up the youngest granddaughter for a photo shoot in the garden with the roses.
Low lighting. Rich colors. The jewel of the garden
The evening was late. The last of the sunlight fading away. A spot of light caught the tip of the cactus, Pitaya’s emerging flower.
The Pitaya is a very large crawling type of cactus. The flower very large. The fruit makes an excellent drink.
