Depth And Contrast

_MG_2342_5765

When I first looked at this scene, I saw a lot of contrast and depth.

The yellow colored shrubs in the foreground. The dark evergreens behind.

Then the mountains in the background in great detail.

The dark clouds swirling around.

As a different tack, I showed less sky and more foreground in this composition.

The photo was taken in Whiteswan Provincial Park

I Walked Away

Bracken_0282

I saw her last night

Sitting in the park

All alone

I had not seen her

In awhile

There was a sadness

About her

That I had never

Seen before

She had been crying

That night

My heart was aching

For her

I longed to touch

Her hair

To kiss her lips

So soft

To hold her tight

So tight

But I walked away

From trouble

It could never be

Between us

Our love was gone

Gone forever

My heart was aching

For her

I longed to touch

Her hair

To kiss her lips

So soft

To hold her tight

So tight

But I walked away

From trouble

It could never be

Between us

Our love was gone

Gone forever
