I Walked Away

Bracken_0282

I saw her last night

Sitting in the park

All alone

I had not seen her

In awhile

There was a sadness

About her

That I had never

Seen before

She had been crying

That night

My heart was aching

For her

I longed to touch

Her hair

To kiss her lips

So soft

To hold her tight

So tight

But I walked away

From trouble

It could never be

Between us

Our love was gone

Gone forever

My heart was aching

For her

I longed to touch

Her hair

To kiss her lips

So soft

To hold her tight

So tight

But I walked away

From trouble

It could never be

Between us

Our love was gone

Gone forever
